Honoring Carolyn Taylor for a Lifetime of Service to the St. Malachy Community

The Henry J. Smith Charitable Trust proudly joins with Fr. Joel Phelps and the whole St. Malachy community to thank Carolyn Taylor for her lifetime of service to St. Malachy Parish and School.

With a career that spanned nearly 40 years, Carolyn Taylor served St. Malachy as School Secretary, Parish Coordinator, Business Manager, Development Director, and Secretary, Treasurer and Trustee of the Henry J. Smith Charitable Trust. Among her many achievements, Carolyn’s leadership of capital campaigns that funded two expansions of the School’s physical plant and its curricular mission stand as a signature achievement. With this in mind, the “new wing” of the School was rededicated as the “Carolyn Kaler Taylor Expansion” at a ceremony held on October 13, 2019 during the annual Parish Fall Festival – with installation of a sign, plaques and a playground bench to commemorate her unparalleled record of service and accomplishment. Carolyn was a founding officer of the Henry J. Smith Charitable Trust and the Trust would not have become what it is today without her tireless commitment to its mission. She has our unending gratitude for all she has done for St. Malachy School, and for a lifetime of work devoted to ensuring that the exceptional education the School provides will be available for generations to come.
